Training Series - Tackling Tough Topics

Explore dynamic communication skills designed to help you navigate the eye rolls and arguments that often occur when trying to discuss climate change.

We start a new a playful and engaging 6-session program in September 2023.  Participants explore skills in Hearing others --  empathy, building shared values to increase trust -- as well as Being Heard -- developing authentic presence skills to convey your beliefs.

Though there are many resources that teach you how to frame your climate messages, there are few programs that provide opportunities to build skills and practice them in a supportive, low-stakes environment.

By the end of the program, participants have learned and practiced behaviors they can quickly and smoothly apply to conversations with colleagues, clients, and family about Climate Change…or any topic!

Is this for me?

Climate Conservations is an opportunity to hone your skills to connect with people from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives. While this training is focusing on climate change, the skills you will develop are transferrable to challenging conversations with anyone in your professional, volunteer, and personal networks. Please note this course focuses on one-on-one conversations about climate change and is not for those seeking basic information about climate change.
